Christian Cupboard

The Christian Cupboard – also known as the Strafford Food Pantry – is located on the first floor of the Christian Education Building of the Third Baptist Church, 30 Strafford Road, (Route 202A) in Strafford, NH. It is open every Thursday morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The exceptions are: If the Strafford school is closed due to a snow storm the pantry is closed. If there is a School delay of two hours, the pantry is also delayed. And Thanksgiving week, when holiday baskets are given out, usually Monday or Tuesday.
The Christian Cupboard is open to Strafford residents who meet the USDA income eligibility requirements.
The Food Pantry is operated by volunteers. Our food sources are the USDA, the NH Food Bank (via Hannaford’s Supermarket) area churches, private financial and food donations and food drives from the US Postal workers, local Scout Troops, and local schools.
The partners in this mission are Bow Lake Free Will Baptist Church and Third Baptist Church. Volunteers, finances and food goods are provided by both churches. In addition, Bow Lake Free Will Baptist Church matches all donations to the Food Pantry at a rate of 50 cents for every dollar given.
We feel extremely blessed to be able to provide this service in such a loving and generous town!
